Nathan was referred to me through ACC after sustaining a work related accident that required an operation to his back, along with intensive therapy.
During his rehabilitation Nathan realised that in order to support his recovery and improve his health, he needed to make some serious lifestyle changes, which included eating healthy, losing weight and gaining strength.
I created a nutrition plan for Nathan to support his lifestyle, budget and goals. He thrived on having structure, support and accountability. Nathan looked forward to his appointments with me to see how much weight he had lost each time, and to make any adjustments and learn ways to avoid plateaus. He lost an impressive 16kg in weight and 9 inches from his waist, and gained muscle from his gym workouts.
Nathan is now back working and feels so much more confident within himself. He has adopted a healthy lifestyle through making changes to his diet that he can sustain forevermore, and now enjoys this way of living. Although he will have lifelong repercussions from his back injury, he manages this well, and the weight loss has been hugely beneficial in his recovery.
